Σύροι πρὸς Φοίνικας: ἑκάτερα τὰ ἔθνη διαβάλλονται ὡς πανοῦργα· ἢ ὅτι ἑκάστοτε δι’ ἔχθρας εἰσί.

Σκάνδιξ: λάχανον ἄγριον. Διὸ καὶ σκανδοπώλης ὁ Εὐριπίδης.
