AGAMEMNON.
  1. Offspring of Leda, of my household warder,
  2. Suitably to my absence hast thou spoken,
  3. For long the speech thou didst outstretch! But aptly
  4. To praise — from others ought to go this favour.
  5. And for the rest, —-not me, in woman’s fashion,
  6. Mollify, nor — as mode of barbarous man is —
  7. To me gape forth a groundward-falling clamour!
