  2. Of earth-born Zephuros did she sail.
  3. Many shield-bearers, leaders of the pack,
  4. Sailed too upon their track,
  5. Theirs who had directed oar,
  6. Then visible no more,
  7. To Simois’ leaf-luxuriant shore —
  8. For sake of strife all gore!
  1. To Ilion Wrath, fulfilling her intent,
  2. This marriage-care — the rightly named so — sent:
  3. In after-time, for the tables’ abuse
  4. And that of the hearth-partaker Zeus,
  5. Bringing to punishment
  6. Those who honoured with noisy throat
  7. The honour of the bride, the hymenseal note
  8. Which did the kinsfolk then to singing urge.
