a statuary and silver-chaser, was one of the artists who made bronze statues representing the battles of Attalus and Eumenes against the Gauls. He therefore flourished about B. C. 240 (Plin. Nat. 34.8. s. 19.24; PYROMACHUS). He is also mentioned by Pliny, in his list of distinguished silver-chasers (33.55) as the engraver of a cup, on which a Satyr, overpowered with wine, was represented so naturally, that the figure appeared to be rather placed upon the vessel than engraved on it. (Comp. Anth. Pal. 6.56; Ath. xi. p. 782b.)
