1. A friend of Cicero, of whom nothing is known. (Cic. Att. 5.2.2.) Ernesti supposes that Sempronius Rufus is intended (comp. ad Att. 6.2.10, ad Fam. 8.7), Rufio being the diminutive of Rufus; but it is quite uncertain.
