A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology. William Smith, LLD, ed. 1890

(Πέτριχος) the author of a Greek poem on venomous serpents, Ὀφιαχά, who lived in or before the first century after Christ. His poem, which is no longer extant, is quoted by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 20.96, 22.40) and the scholiast on Nicander's Theriaca (pp. 47, 50, ed. Ald.).
