(Ὀμφαλίων), painter, was originally the slave, and afterwards the disciple, of Nicias, the son of Nicomedes. He painted the walls of the temple of Messene with figures of personages celebrated in the mythological legends of Messenia. (Paus. 4.31.9. s. 11, 12.)
