(Μόρυχος), a tragic poet, a contemporary of Aristophanes, noted especially for his gluttony and effeminacy. (Aristoph. Ach. 887, Vesp. 504, 1137, Pax, 1008, with the note of the scholiast.) There was a proverb: Μορύχου εὐηθέστερος, More foolish than Morychus; but whether it had reference to the tragic poet of that name, or not, we do not know. (Fabric. Bibl.
