(Λαπέρσαι or Λαπέρσιοι), a surname of the Dioscuri, which they derived from the Attic demus of Lapersae (Tzetz. ad Lycoph. 511, 1369), or, according to others, from a mountain in Laconia. (Steph. Byz. s. v. Λαπέρσα; Eustath. ad Homn. pp. 230, 295.)
