(Εὐέλπιστος), all eminent surgeon at Rome, who lived shortly before the time of Celsus, and therefore probably about the end of the first century B. C. (Cels. de Med.vii. praef. p. 137.) He is perhaps the same person one of whose plasters is preserved by Scribonius Largus, de Compos. Medicam, 100.215, p. 230.
