       2.9.16</bibl>; Cic. <hi rend="ital">Tusc.</hi> 1.39); others relate that Achilles ordered
      Troilus who was made prisoner <pb n="1177"/> to be strangled (Dict. Cret. 4.9), or that
      Troilus, when fleeing from Achilles, ran into the temple of the Thymbraean Apollo, where
