(Θάσος), a son of Poseidon, or Cilix or Agenor, was one of those who set out from Phoenicia in search of Europa, and thus founded the town of Thasos. (Hdt. 2.44, 6.47; Paus. 5.25.7; Apollod. 3.1.1.)
