C. 168</date>. In the following year he was one of the five legati sent into
      Illyricum. (<bibl n="Liv. 44.17">Liv. 44.17</bibl>, <bibl n="Liv. 45.17">45.17</bibl>).</p><p>The following coin of C. Baebius Tamphilus has on the obverse the head of Pallas, and on the
