C. 199</date>, and on his return to Rome three years afterwards (<date when-custom="-196">B. C. 196</date>), brought into the public treasury fifty thousand pounds weight
      of silver, and from the spoils <pb n="908"/> dedicated two fornices or arches in the forum
      Boarium, and one in the Circus Maximus, and placed upon them gilded statues. In the same year
      that he returned, he was appointed one of the ten commissioners, who were sent into Greece to
