A daughter of Staphylus and Chrysothemis, was beloved by Apollo. When her father
      discovered that she was with child, he put her in a chest, and exposed her to the waves of the
      sea. The chest floated to the coast of Euboea (or Delos), where Rhoeo gave birth to Anius
       (<bibl n="Diod. 5.62">Diod. 5.62</bibl>; Tzetz. <hi rend="ital">ad Lycoph.</hi> 570).
