      Greek jurist of uncertain date. A MS. which Ducange has cited (<hi rend="ital">Glossur. Med.
       et Iufim. Graecitat.</hi> Index Auctor. col. 26), describes him as <foreign xml:lang="grc">Δικαιόφυλαξ Θεσσαλονίκης</foreign>, "Judge at Thessalonica." He wrote two very short
      dissertations :--1. <foreign xml:lang="grc">Περὶ ὑποβόλου</foreign>, <hi rend="ital">De
       Donatione super Nuptias ;</hi> and 2. <foreign xml:lang="grc">Περὶ ἀποτυχίας</foreign>,
       <hi rend="ital">De Casso.</hi> He wrote also <hi rend="ital">Scholia</hi> on the
       <title>Basilica,</title> of which possibly the above dissertations may have formed part.
