      addressed to him three of the epistles which were written by the poet from his place of
      banishment (<hi rend="ital">ex Pont.</hi> 1.6, 2.6, 4.9). This Pomponius Graecinus was the
      brother of Pomponius Flaccus [<hi rend="smallcaps">FLACCUS, POMPONIUS</hi>, No. 2], and
