2. A comic poet of the time of Pherecrates, B. C. 420. To him are doubtfully assigned (Ath. 8.364, a, where he designates him ὁ ῥυθμικὸς), the comedy of Χείρων, and (Harpoer. s.v. Μεταλλεῖς, p. 242) the comedy of Μεταλλεῖζ, usually assigned to Pherecrates.
