      Methodici (Gal. <hi rend="ital">Introd.</hi> 100.4. vol. xiv. p. 684), and lived probably in
      the first century after Christ. He wrote some medical works, which are not now extant; and he
      is quoted by Galen (<hi rend="ital">De Compos. Medicam. sec. Gen.</hi> 1.4, 17, 7.5, vol.
      xiii. pp. 392, 445, 962, 963, 965), Soranus (<hi rend="ital">Do Arte Obstetr.</hi> pp. 21, 23,
