       118</date>, when he presided at the impeachment of C. Papirius Carbo, accused of majestas by

       <bibl n="Cic. de Orat. 1.26">Cic. de Orat. 1.26</bibl>.) Fabius was consul in <date when-custom="-116">B. C. 116</date>. He condemned one of his sons to death for immorality; but
      being subsequently accused by Cn. Pompeius Strabo of exceeding the limits of the " patria
