5. EPISCOPUS (Ioniae et Asiatidis Terrae Episcopus), a Byzantine bishop of uncertain age, wrote "Epistola ad Magnum Magnae Ecclesiae Constantinop. Chartophylacem," which begins Φφίνοντος τῆς πόλεως ἐσίοντος, and is extant in MS. (Cave. Iist. Lit. Append. p. 175.)
