Brut. 36">Cic. Brut. 36</bibl>), who must have been adopted by some one of the
      Cornelii Lentuli, though we know not by whom. (See Orell. <hi rend="ital">Onom. Tull.</hi> p.
      177.) He is mentioned by Cicero (<hi rend="ital">l.c.</hi>) as an orator of considerable
      merit, and figures as one of the lieutenants of Pompey in the war against the pirates, <date when-custom="-67">B. C. 67</date>. (Appian, <bibl n="App. Mith. 14.95">App. Mith. 95</bibl>.) It
