      commissioners for assigning lands to the Latin colony at Placentia, in <date when-custom="-218">B.
       C. 218</date>. An insurrection of the Boian Gauls compelled Herennius and his colleagues to
      take refuge in Mutina. (<bibl n="Liv. 21.25">Liv. 21.25</bibl>.) According to Polybius (<bibl n="Plb. 3.40">3.40</bibl>), the commissioners fell into the hands of the insurgents.</p></div></div></body></text></TEI>
