      of Demylos, was one of the most celebrated Grecian athletes. He was a <foreign xml:lang="grc">περιοδονίκης</foreign>, having gained one Olympic, two Pythian, eight
      Nemean, and eight Isthmian victories in boxing. It is said that while stilt a boy, he refixed
      a ploughshare which had dropped out of its place by the allows of his fist, without the help
      of a hammer. His state at Olympia was made by <hi rend="smallcaps">GLAUCIAS</hi> of Aegina.
