       269</date> with C. Fabius Pictor, and carried on a war against the Picentes, which, however,
      was not brought to a close till the year after. This consulship is remarkable in the history
      of Rome as being the year in which silver was first coined at Rome. In <date when-custom="-257">B.
       C. 257</date> Q. Ogulnius was appointed dictator for the purpose of conducting the feriae
