      of a work on Antiquities, in fourteen books, and on the worship of the gods. Whether he is the
      same as the geographer, Diophantus, who wrote a description of the northern countries (Phot.
       <hi rend="ital">Bibl. Cod.</hi> 250, p. 454b.), which is also quoted by Stephanus of
      Byzantium (<hi rend="ital">s. v.</hi>
      <foreign xml:lang="grc">Ἄβιοι</foreign>), or the Diophantus who wrote a work <foreign xml:lang="grc">πολιτικά</foreign> (Steph. Byz. <hi rend="ital">s. v.</hi>
      <foreign xml:lang="grc">Λιβυστῖνοι</foreign>), cannot be decided.</p></div></div></body></text></TEI>
