      <foreign xml:lang="grc">Μελάνωπος</foreign>.) Reiske, in the Index to Demosthenes,
      believes him to be the same as the author of the psephisma mentioned by Demosthenes (<hi rend="ital">de Fals. Leg.</hi> p. 368), and also identical with the one who, according to
      Diodorus (<bibl n="Diod. 16.48">16.48</bibl>), assisted the king of Persia in his Egyptian
