      (2.279) as the author of a work entitled <title xml:lang="grc">κυμ́σεις</title>, that is, on
      conception or birth, which is also mentioned in the Etymologicum Magnum (<hi rend="ital">s.
       v.</hi>
      <foreign xml:lang="grc">Προικόννησος</foreign>),where, however, the reading <foreign xml:lang="grc">κτήσεσιν</foreign> should be corrected into <foreign xml:lang="grc">κυήσεσιν</foreign>, and not into <foreign xml:lang="grc">κτίσεσιν</foreign>, as Sylburg
