      when the latter marched from Babylon to meet <ref target="alexander-the-great-bio-1">Alexander</ref>, <date when-custom="-333">B. C. 333</date>. (<bibl n="Arr. An. 2.15">Arr. Anab.
       2.15</bibl>; comp. <bibl n="Curt. 3.10">Curt. 3.10</bibl>.) The favour with which <ref target="alexander-the-great-bio-1">Alexander</ref> regarded Artabazus was extended also to
      Cophen, whom we find mentioned among the young Asiatic nobles that were enrolled in the body
      of cavalry called <foreign xml:lang="grc">Ἂγημα</foreign>, in the reorganiza-tion of the
