      probably towards the end of the sixth century of the Christian aera.</p><div><head>Works</head><div><head><title xml:lang="la">de Figuris poeticis, oratoriis, et theologicis</title> (<foreign xml:lang="grc">περὶ τρόπου τῶν κατὰ ποιητικὴν καὶ θεολογικὴν
        Χρῆσιν</foreign>)</head><p>He is the author of various grammatical and rhetorical works, of which only one has been
        printed, namely <title xml:lang="la">de Figuris poeticis, oratoriis, et theologicis</title>
         (<foreign xml:lang="grc">περὶ τρόπου τῶν κατὰ ποιητικὴν καὶ θεολογικὴν
         Χρῆσιν</foreign>).</p><div><head>Editions</head><p><bibl>This has been published with a Latin translation together with the dissertation of
          Proclus on divine and poetical instinct, by Morellus, Paris, 1615, 12mo.</bibl></p></div></div><div><head>Other Works</head><p>His other works, the <pb n="698"/> MSS. of which are scattered in the principal libraries
        of this country (Bodleian) and the continent, treat on various grammatical matters; his
        treatise on the Greek accent, the MS. of which is in the Vatican library, seems to deserve
        particular attention.</p><p>Several treatises on theological matters, which are extant in MS. are likewise attributed
        to him. But as Choeroboscus is generally quoted by the earlier writers as Georgius
        Grammaticus, or Georgius Diaconus--he was a priest--he might sometimes have been confounded
