Of <hi rend="smallcaps">CILICIA</hi> (<foreign xml:lang="grc">ὁ Κίλιξ</foreign>),
      was the author of a history of the Church, of which Photius gives a short account (<hi rend="ital">Cod.</hi> 42), a work against John of Scythopolis (<bibl n="Phot. Bibl. 107">Phot. Bibl. 107</bibl>), and one against Archelaus, bishop of Colonia in Armenia. (Suidas,
       <hi rend="ital">s. v.</hi>) He lived under the emperor Anastasius, was presbyter at Antioch
      about 497 A. D., and afterwards bishop of Irenopolis in Cilicia.</p></div></div></body></text></TEI>
