C. 43</date>, but escaped to Pompey, and was restored to the state together
      with Pompey. (Appian, <bibl n="App. BC 4.6.46">App. BC 4.46</bibl>; <bibl n="Vell. 2.77">Vell.
       2.77</bibl>.) This is probably the same Arruntius who commanded the left wing of the fleet of
      Octavianus at the battle of Actium, <date when-custom="-31">B. C. 31</date>. (<bibl n="Vell. 2.85">Vell. 2.85</bibl>; comp. <bibl n="Plut. Ant. 66">Plut. Ant. 66</bibl>.) There was a L.
      Arruntius, consul in <date when-custom="-22">B. C. 22</date> (<bibl n="D. C. 54.1">D. C.
      54.1</bibl>), who appears to be the same person as the one mentioned above, and may perhaps
      also be the same as the L. Arruntius, the friend of Trebatius, whom Cicero mentions (<hi rend="ital">ad Fam.</hi> 7.18) in <date when-custom="-53">B. C. 53</date>.</p></div></div></body></text></TEI>
