An Athenian sculptor, the son of Archias, made the bronze head of the young hero, which
      was found at Herculaneum and is engraved in the <hi rend="ital">Mus.</hi> Hercul. i. tab. 45.
      It bears the inscription, <foreign xml:lang="grc">ΑΠΟΛΛΟΝΙΟΣ ΑΠΧΙΟΥ
       ΑΘΗΝΑΙΟΣ ΕΠΩΗΣΕ</foreign>. It probably belongs to the period about the birth of
