(Ἄμφιος), a son of Merops and brother of Adrastus. These two brothers took part in the Trojan war against their father's advice, and were slain by Diomedes. (Hom. Il. 2.828, &c., 11.328, &c.) Another hero of this name, who was an ally of the Trojans, occurs in Il. 5.612.
