A son of Lycurgus and Cleophile, and father of Antimache, who married Eurystheus. (<bibl n="Apollod. 3.9.2">Apollod. 3.9.2</bibl>.) According to Pausanias (<bibl n="Paus. 8.4.6">8.4.6</bibl>) and Apollonius Rhodius (1.163) he was a son of Aleus, and consequently a
      brother of Lycurgus, Cepheus, and Auge, and took part in the expedition of the Argonauts.
