(in whom) my soul is well pleased: I have put my soul upon
him; he shall bring forth judgment to the nations.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="2"><p>2 He shall not cry out, nor lift up, nor make his voice heard
in the street.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="3"><p>3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and a dimly burning wick
shall he not quench; according to truth shall he bring forth
judgment.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="4"><p>4 He shall not burn dimly nor be bruised, till he (shall) set
judgment in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his law.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="5"><p>5 Thus saith the God, the LORD, he that created the heavens,
and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and the
things that come forth of it; that giveth breath unto the people
upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="6"><p>6 Ι the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will take
hold of thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant
of the people, for -a light of the nations:</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="7"><p>7 To open blind eyes, to bring out a captivefrom prison, and
them that sit in darkness from a house of confinement</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="8"><p>8 Iam the Lord; that is my name; and my glory will I not
give to another, and my praise to graven images.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="9"><p>9 The ﬁrst things, behold, they have come, andI am telling

the earth; ye that go down (to) the sea, and the fulness thereof;
the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="11"><p>11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up (their
voice): the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants
of Sela shout, let them cry aloud from the top of mountains.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="12"><p>12 They shall give honour to the Lord, and tell his praise
among the isles.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="13"><p>13 The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall rouse
up zeal like a man of war: he shall shout, yea, roar; he shall
do mightily against his enemies.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="14"><p>14 I have been silent from of old: I have been still, and
refrained myself; (now) will I cry like a travailing woman; I will
gasp and pant together.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="15"><p>15 I will lay waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their
herbage; and I will turn rivers to islands, and I will dry up
pools.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="16"><p>16 And I will make the blind walk by a way that they knew
not; I will make them tread in paths they knew not; I will turn
darkness to light before them, and uneven places into a plain.
These are the things, I will do them, and will not abandon them.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="17"><p>17 They are turned back; they shall be ashamed, that
trust in the graven images, that say to the molten image, Ye are
our gods.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="18"><p>18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="19"><p>19 Who is blind, but my servant, and deaf, but my messenger
whom I (shall) send? who is blind as the surrendered one, and
blind as the Lord's servant?</p></div><div type="textpart" subtype="verse" n="20"><p>20 Thou hast seen many things, but thou observest Inot:
