                        they sent straightaway to entreat the <name type="ethnic">Aeginetans</name>
                        and invite their aid, since this was the oracle's bidding, and the <name type="ethnic">Aeginetans</name> were their nearest. These replied to

                        entreaty of the <name type="ethnic">Thebans</name> without sending a herald.
