Cassius Longinus, one of Caesar's legates. He was pardoned by Caesar after the battle of Pharsalia, and appears to have succeeded his father in the sovereignty about this time. He died in B. C. 42, leaving his dominions to the Romans (Caes. Civ. 3.4; Lucan, 5.54; D. C. 41.51, 63, 47.25). Cicero, in his orations against Verres, B. C. 70, speaks of a king Sadala (Verr. Act. 1.24). This Sadala was in all probability the father of Cotys, and the grandfather of the Sadales mentioned above.
