2. M.CaniniusRebilus, probably a brother of the preceding, was sent by the senate into Macedonia, in B. C. 170, along with M. Fulvius Flaccus, in order to investigate the reason of the want of success of the Roman arms in the war against Perseus. In B. C. 167 he was one of the three ambassadors appointed by the senate to conduct the Thracian hostages back to Cotys. (Liv. 43.11, 45.42.)
