(Φανοθέα) was the wife of the Athenian Icarius. [ICARIUS, No. 1.] She was said to have invented the hexameter. (Clem. Alex. Stromin. i. p. 366.) Porphyrits designates her as the Delphic priestess of Apollo (ἡ Δελφοῦ. Stob. Florileg. 21.26.)
