9. CHRYSOLANUS or GROSOLANUS, was archbishop of Milan, A. D. 1110, having previously held some less important see. He was sent by Pope Paschal II. on a mission to the emperor Alexius I. Comnenus, and engaged eagerly in the controversy on the procession of the Holy Spirit.
