2. The son of the preceding, is said to have married Pompilia, the daughter of Numa Pompilius, and to have become by her the father of Ancus Marcius. Numa Marcius was appointed by Tullus Hostilius praefectus urbi. (Plut. Naum. 21, Coriol. ; Tac. Ann. 6.11.)
