3. NoniusStruma was raised to one of the curule magistracies by Julius Caesar, but appears to have been unworthy of the honour. Hence Catullus exclaims (Carm. 52):--
" Quid est, Catulle, quid moraris emori ? Sella in curuli Struma Nonius sedet."
