6. L. CORNELIUS TIB. N. LENTULUS CAUDINUS, L. F., son of the last. (Fasti Cap. A. U. 516.) He is the first who is expressly recorded with the agnomen Caudinus: but as the Fasti are mutilated, it may have been assumed by his father. He was curule aedile (Vaillant, Cornelii No. 18, Papirii No. 1); Pontifex Maximus (Liv. 22.10); and as consul in B. C. 237, he triumphed over the Ligurians. (Fasti Cap. ; Eutrop. 3.2.) He died B. C. 213. (Liv. 25.2.)
