3. A son of Haemon, Praxonides, or Iphitus. At the command of the Delphic oracle, he restored the Olympian games, and instituted the cessation of all war during their celebration. (Paus. 5.4.5.) Another Iphitus, who is otherwise unknown, is mentioned by Apollodorus (2.5.1).
