(Ἱεροκλῆς).

An author on veterinary surgery. Nothing is known of the events

of his life, except that he is supposed to have been a lawyer by profession, and not a veterinary surgeon, and to have lived in the tenth century after Christ, as he dedicated his work to Cassianus Bassus. He is perhaps the same writer who is quoted in the Geoponica.
