1. Is mentioned by Dionysius of Halicarnassus (1.34) as a ποιητὴς ἀρχαῖος, who wrote upon early Italian traditions. As he is not mentioned anywhere else, and as it is strange to find an ancient Greek writing upon Italian mythi, some critics have proposed to read Ἔννιος, instead of Εὔξενος; but Ennius can scarcely be classed among the mythographers.
