or EPA'CTIUS (Ἐπακταῖος or Ἐπάκτιος), that is, the god worshipped on the coast, was used as a surname of Poseidon in Samos (Hesych. s. v.), and of Apollo. (Orph. Argon. 1296; Apollon. 1.404.)
