(Ἔμποδος), an otherwise unknown writer, whose ἀπομνημονεύματα are mentioned by Athenaeus. (ix. p. 370.) Casaubon proposed to read Ποσειδώνιος instead of Ἔμποδος; but our ignorance about Empodus is not sufficient to justify such a conjecture.
