4. A CHALDAEAN, is mentioned as the author of a work περὶ λὶθων by Plutarch (de Flum. 23), who quotes the second book of it. He may be the same as the Dorotheus referred to by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 22.22), though the latter may also be identical with the Athenian, No. 3.
